‘the man’ is Jesus
Jesus became man to represent ‘the man’. all man have fall short of the glory of God. as a result of sin from the first man Adam, death reign to all man. Jesus, the last man Adam brought forth life and glory in His resurrection from the dead.
Jesus is that perfect man spoken of about by the offerings and sacrifices and by the Law.
Today He is ‘the man’ that man who represents all man who believes in Him
Who can stand on their feet before the righteous Judge? no one, not even one. except that one whom Christ is his justification and that Christ substitutes him, are able to stand before the Judge, justified and will hear – ‘well done my faithful one’
Behold, his soul which is proud is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith
– Habakkuk 2:4
And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away
– Hebrews 10:38
But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved
– Hebrews 10:39
The faithful ones are not those who does good work faithfully, but rather the ones whose faith is rested in Christ and His finish work
Christianity is about Substitution
The gospel is not about following Jesus or becoming His follower. rather the gospel is about Christ living in us & representing us. can anyone in his own goodness represent himself apart from Christ and stand before the righteous judge and not perish? by no means! Impossible
There is no one righteous, not even one
– Romans 3:10
so why do we come to God representing our own selves? it is as if by some good works we have now the right to stand before Him? have we forgotten why we speak ‘In Jesus name’ at the end of our prayers? It is by Jesus and Him alone.
It is foolish to obey the Law unto justification and expect God to be pleased with us. hopeless. drop it. accept Christ alone your savior.
Jesus is not our great teacher but Substitute
Jesus is not merely a great teacher. He is our substitute before the great task master who is God. for what does the great task master expect from ‘the man’? – obedience to the Law. – holiness. – righteousness.
Jesus fulfilled and satisfied all the expectations. Christ obeyed the Law for man’s benefit. He fulfilled the Law to satisfy it’s purpose. He is set apart among all man for one reason. Jesus is righteousness for He is the seed of God. He knew no sin, He is sinless
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him
– 2 Corinthians 5:21
God is righteous and that the unrighteous shall perish in His very presence. who then can stand? If the Lord will mark our transgressions who can stand? no one, not even one
But Jesus in His 100% human nature willfully decided to bear the mark of sin. He carried the sins of the world. Jesus partook of cup. He willingly received the sins of the world
Christ Driven Life
The world wants to abolish sin and to merit eternal life. The gospel condemns any form of merit unto salvation. It teaches something more sublime than the wisdom of the world or the righteousness of the world
The gospel reveals the righteousness of God whom all man are justified. it points to Christ and to Christ alone. Jesus is God’s righteousness revealed in the gospel. amen
Jesus’ work was justified that even the sins of all man, cannot swallow Him in death. all man who puts their belief in Christ are justified. justified in Christ and not by work
Now all who believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
– John 3:16
Christ our only Justification
Following Christ does not justify, carrying your own cross does not justify. Christ alone justifies.
Obeying the Law does not justify. becoming nailed to a cross does not justify and can never justify.
This is a radical statement,
faith and manifested work does not justify. Christ justifies alone
grace through faith does not save. Christ saves alone
There is no formula, nor recipe, nor method nor steps.
Christ made unto us Righteousness
The highest knowledge of a genuine believer is not to know the Law but to ignore it
The highest wisdom of the world is to know and study the Law, works and acts of righteousness
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption
– 1 Corinthians 1:30
Let us be reminded that Christ is our righteousness / justification. The holy Spirit reminds us
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment
– John 16:8
– grace and peace
