Our Past, Present and Future sins are all PAST when Christ offered His blood Our Past, Present and Future sins are all FUTURE when Jesus died at the cross
at PRESENT, sin is no longer the problem. The problem today is Unbelief. we call those who do not believe in Jesus as ‘unbelievers’. while believers do not believe all their sins are forgiven? what do we call them?
Can you believe that? Unbelieving Believers? ironic isn’t it? and yet God in His Unbelievable Love cause us to receive His Grace anyway. Yes, believe it or not. without merit we receive His Grace. Amazing!
ONCE and for ALL TIME
“Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins”
– Hebrews 10:11
in the old times, the Levite Priests offer sacrifices Day after Day, Year after Year. people commit sins daily, so daily sacrifices were necessary.
When Jesus went to the cross to die, He was our Sacrifice
When Jesus went to heaven, He is our Priest – our representative
Question : Does Jesus die daily and offer His blood for our sins?
A BIG resounding NO!
Jesus died “once and for all Time” (Hebrews 9:28, 1 Peter 3:18)
#1 Why do it once?
“For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence”
– Hebrews 9:24
#2 Why do it once?
“Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own”
– Hebrews 9:25
#3 Why do it once?
“Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world”
– Hebrews 9:26
once and for all time AT END OF TIME
“… But now Jesus has appeared once for all AT THE END OF THE AGES to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself”
– Hebrews 9:26
Can you Imagine that? Jesus went to the very Last Hour, Minute, Second of the Future then offered His blood in the FUTURE. Genius!
Why offer blood in the FUTURE? So that TODAY all our sins are PAST! and all the sins of the whole world accounted for and forgiven! awesome!
Therefore, It is Finished!
Past, Present & Future are PAST
Hey! ALL my sins and your sins are forgiven!
still having trouble with this “how can God forgive my future sins?” ? then you should ask this “how can Jesus die for my sins when I wasn’t yet born before He died?”
brother, sister. All our sins are forgiven!
are you sin conscious? Rest!
are you worried of sins committed unknowingly? Rest!
are you in constant sin confession? Rest!
Rest for all your sins are forgiven. Believe!
Shall we sin because all our sins are forgiven?
How can you be accounted with sin when your sins were “punished, condemned, judged, taken away, cleansed, dealt with, forgotten” ?
How can you be even accounted with sin when you are already “cleansed, forgiven, made righteous, holy, sanctified, born again, a new creation” ?
Can you sin to God when He does not impute sin on you? how?
How can sin be even imputed on you when you are dead to sin?
You are dead to sin
“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”
– Romans 6:1-2
Even if you sin your entire life, you will never be made alive to sin ever again! because you are dead to sin. period!
What then shall we say?
“The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus”
– Romans 6:10-11
What then shall we say? shall I sin that grace may abound? hey! that’s should no longer be part of your vocabulary! kick it out.
let’s ask again.
So What then shall we say? I am alive through Christ! I am righteous through Christ! I am holy through Christ!
Therefore, let us consider ourselves DEAD to sin
The Holy Spirit is reminding you TODAY “You are righteous” (John 16:8)
– Grace and Peace
