To add Works to Faith is to treat God as unholy

I Believe, Therefore I Speak

“SPEAK ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water”
– Numbers 20:8

Moses was to Speak to the rock and only to speak to it.

“Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.”
– Numbers 20:10-11

But instead of Speaking to the rock, Moses Struck it with the staff instead.

“Because you have not Believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
– Numbers 20:12

Moses did not Believe, therefore he did not speak to the rock.

Them that Believes, Speak.

Stand Still

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD”
– Exodus 14:13

The LORD told Moses Stand Still. Moses stood still.

When we simply Believe, We treat God as Holy.

To add Works to Faith is to treat God as unholy.

Through Jesus, God moved us out of the Land of Works into the Land of the Promise.

Great Works are God’s work. His greatest Work is Salvation for all mankind.

Our part is to Believe. To Believe is to do God’s Work (John 6:29).

We therefore Speak. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be save.

Anyone who calls on the Rock who is Jesus shall be saved.

Jesus is the Rock of our salvation.

Amen
