True Salvation is Effortless for Salvation is not by Doing but by Resting.
Moses with nothing but a rod in his hand, parted the waters, by Standing Still.
Fear ye not, Stand Still, and see the salvation of the LORD
– Exodus 14:13
God said to King Jehoshaphat ‘There will be no need for you to fight this battle. Stand your ground.’ The priest and musicians armed with nothing but instruments, went out ahead of the army. Singing and praising the LORD, the battle was won easily.
Fear not … Stand Still, and see the salvation of the LORD
– 2 Chronicles 20:15,17
Jesus was walking on water when the disciples saw Him. They were Fearful.
But Jesus said to them ‘Fear Not. I AM’
I AM THE LIVING GOD. Do not be afraid. (Aramaic Bible)
– Matthew 14:27
I am He; fear not.
– Mark 6:50
I am He; do not fear.
– John 6:20
In the scripture, God almost always says ‘Fear not, don’t be afraid’ whenever He speaks with man. But not with Adam.
I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
– Genesis 3:10
Our being Fearful and being Afraid came be attributed from Adam. Perhaps the reason why Man is Fearful of God.
But this Fear is NOT from God, neither is ‘Reverential Fear’.
This Fear is NOT the Fear of the Lord.
When you ‘Stand Still’, you walk on water
Fixing his eyes on Jesus Peter began to walk on water. While walking, a storm caught his attention and as a result, changes his fix on Jesus.
He feared because his eyes were not fixed on Jesus.
He sank because he is not ‘Standing Still’.
From Faith to Faith, From Glory to Glory
We are transformed by beholding, Not by Doing. We become not by doing, we have become in Christ, therefore we do.
True change is effortless.
Now, what does the storm have to do with walking on water? Nothing. Peter walked on water because he changed into the same image as Jesus.
As Jesus is, so am i in this world. Amen!
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
– 2 Corinthians 3:18
What then shall we say?
Let us therefore fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. From Faith To Faith.
You ‘Stand Still’ by fixing your eyes on Jesus. Stand Still and see our God and Salvation, Jesus.
